SEGREGATED WATER FOUNTAINS
This photo was taken by Eliott Erwitt in 1950, in North Carolina. At that time, drinking fountains for white people and drinking fountains for black people were separate and unequal. The drinking fountain for white people is bigger and cleaner than the water fountain for black people. They WERE NOT ALLOWED TO use the same water fountains. They HAD TO use different water fountains.
